Triple metre bar

In the triple metre bar the note values (figuras) and rests (silencios) add up to 3 beats

Vivaldi lived in Venice (Italy) 300 years ago. He played the violin and composed some concerts  about the Four Seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn and winter).

Bach lived in Germany 300 years ago. He played the organ and there were many musicians in his family.

Mallet percussion

Los ingleses y los españoles no nos ponemos de acuerdo. Ellos hablan de MALLET PERCUSSION
para referirse a los instrumentos que se tocan con baquetas. Nosotros los llamamos instrumentos de LÁMINAS, porque están formados por láminas.

The bars of the xylophone are made of wood and the bars of the metallophone and glockenspiel are made of metal.
(Las láminas del xilófono están hechas de madera y las del metalófono y el carillón están hechas de metal)

The glockenspiel is the HIGHEST out of them because it is the SMALLEST (el carillón es el más agudo porque es el más pequeño)

It's time to practice.

El compás de dos tiempos (DUPLE METRE BAR) se representa así

aunque en música normalmente se escribe con un 2 y un 4 (2 por 4)

Antes de nada, has de entender que los sonidos tienen diferentes duraciones: unos suenan más largos y otros más cortos.

The crotchet lasts ONE BEAT (la negra dura un tiempo)

And the quavers last half a beat (las corcheas duran medio tiempo). Si tenemos dos corcheas juntas, suman un tiempo entero, como dos monedas de 50 céntimos suman un euro.
